After a suggestion from Fundytrail, I have added another column for everyone to discuss maybe their home tracks near them, etc...

Fundytrail has a link to http://www.riversidespeedway.ca

Its nice to see new tracks being built, take a look at the website:)

If everyone wants to participate with this, probably what we would do is add something permanent on the website itself, with pictures,etc...

This is the track in Terre Haute which is about 50 miles north of us.

http://www.terrehauteactiontrack.com/

The Terre Haute Action Track is one of America's premier short dirt tracks. It has been in operation since 1952. The Action Track has a storied tradition that can not be surpassed. Many of the sport's top drivers in the past generation such as A.J Foyt, Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones, Don Branson, Jim Hurtibise and many others started their rise to the top at the Action Track. Today's generation includes Jeff Gordon, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart, Steve Kinser and many more!

For your convenience we now have new shower/restroom facilities ( no charge ) and camping Camping available - call 812-232-9627
No reservations needed: $20 to camp.
A full variety of hotels are located within half mile of the track.

We also have a nice dirt track in Haubstadt, about 35miles south.

I think both Gordon and Stewart ran here back in the day.

Can anyone tell me about Eldora. We are going in June. What is the camping like? Is there anything to do around the track? Will there be a big crowd?

We camped across the road from the track in '06. Basically a mowed hay field. Port-a-lets for toilets & I don't recall any shower facility. 5 minute walk to the track from our site.

Remember you can't take alcohol into the track, but I think it was cheap (compared to other tracks) @ the concession stands.
