I messed up with the pricing here folks, MY costs with courier are 1460.00, not 1,000.00 like I previously mentioned.:(

So 2 of you got a pretty sweet deal as the kids say, but I know you will make good as you mentioned:mrgreen:

I am getting old.........

If you stand on top of your rig, from spot 416 you should be able to see them getting into 1 ( Running the high groove), but for sure from 2 down to 3, and then nothing till they come back around across the start finish line.

There are some buildings and such that will be in your way where you are.

The back of your site is on the road course ( good for your jacks)

Close to the bathrooms also.

Some other members from here are very close to you also.

It is of course not as good as being in the stands for sure though, its a personal preference thing for sure.

I will have a platform up on top of my fifth wheel, with a railing, and a table to hold my favorite beverages. I might even have a tv up there. I might not be able too see as much, but I am guessing I am going to love the Daytona infield experience.
counting down the days....

Taximan you are right beside Ron 48, and your spots are basically 2 rows towards lake Lloyd from spot 416.

You will see a bit more as you will not have as much interference with other campers to see the backstretch.

Again, its a personal decision.

Ron, do you have a cardboard box or something to shiedl the suns rays from the tv?

I havent designed/built the tv holder yet, But i did think i would need something to keep the sun off the tv. I do want to make this platform Race friendly. I havent built it yet, Bit I will Have it with me for Daytona, Dont be surprised to even see a paint scheme.. LOL

I am sure you have read the forum about building a platform correct?

A Nascarcamping.com paint scheme?

Ron48

the paint scheme would be for LOWES #48 Jimmie Johnson. Bit I see a side that says "NASCARCAMPING.com" :D

Since this is my first Nascar infield camping experience, I am going to ask a dumb question.

Why do I need a platform ? Cant I just put something under one side of my chair to level it ? And sit on the chair ?

yes, you can rig up anything you like, I believe the reason why many people do this is because of the length of time of the event, its one thing to be unstable for one race, but for 6 races, and umpteen practising, its a little much for some folks.

for me, I feel better with a platform due to the fact my roof structure surface is on 3/8" plywood, and 1 wrong move could be very bad for the RV roof. Also, if I get carried away with my favorite alcohol beverage , I wont worry so much about stepping of the roof. ( I will have a railing as well)
