Talladega spring race

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I have several questions about Talladega...I hope someone can help. We are headed to Talladega for the first time and we're not sure where to camp. We are pulling a 5th wheel and we were thinking about parking in North Park or East reserve park. We want to be in the middle of the action, but we also want to have space. If we park in North Park will we be able to pull in early Friday morning and get spaces? The free camping worries me because I don't want to risk not having a place to stay. I also want to find out if people park 5th wheels in that area or is that just for tents and small trailors? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Like I said this is our first time there and we want to have a great time! Thanks so much!;)

Best bet is to see if you can get one of the Winners Walk campspots. You pay a little more but have a great big reserved spot next to the track. I think Shirley said she was not going and has a spot and tickets. You can walk to "all the action" and still be able to sleep at night.
