Meeting other campers at Daytona

Just a thought but what about a bunch of us campers meeting up in the Fan Zone on Thursday AM (around 10am) I know we are all camping all over the place, but would be nice to meet whomever I can in person. or else maybe Wed Nite at Hooters across the street from the Speedway, or any other place anyone can think of. Any ideas? I know I will be pulling in on Wed early am.

Fanzone would be a good spot, but people have to pay to get in, Hooters is also good, but very crowded, there is a restaurant in fanz one that is usually not to crowded so that actually would be a good spot, lots of room to stretch out etc... I will post some pics later...

If folks have transportation meeting at the North Turn down in Ponce Inlet would be nice too. Chris far as the FanZone resturant you mean the Budweiser Bistro in the middle,? Maybe they will rename it this year.

The fan zone or anywhere in the infield works for us. We are pulling in our Red zone spot on tuesday afternoon

The bistro yes thats it, this would be the best spot, because there is a lot to do in the fanzone, and it is even bigger this year.

You can also get your picture taking with the trophy, a group picture would be good, the trophy is in Victory Circle, and if I remember right it is run by a husband/wife/mother team, they took my picture for free in exchange for a Nascarcamping.com t shirt, they where nice people.:mrgreen:

This is the seating area and band area in the fanzone the bistro is just to the right of this picture. If somebody wants to cut and paste both pictures together, you can see the garbage can to the right, this is also seen in the other picture, see and you guys thought I was a rookie :)

Thursday am-
or wednesday pmI think thursday am is good at the fan zone like discussed. I am guessing it would be less crowded there too?
Can we get into fan zone wednesday night?

No fanzone on Wed nite, actually think the Fanzone closes around 5 or 6pm if I am not mistaken. Plus don't think it is even open on Wed for us folks. Someone put up a poll and see what wins. If you have a get together on Wed nite in the infield, us folks camping outside in West Lot won't be able to get in. I vote for Thursday am somewhere between 9 and 10 am before the Fanzone gets too crowded., and it will later on in the morning for sure
