Okay ... I have a ton of questions. This is the first time that we will be in the infield. We have been to plenty of races ... just not in our RV. Hopefully one of you infield veterans can answer these for me.
1. Can you have small open fires/fire pits in the infield?
2. How much of the track can you see from any one spot in the infield?
3. Is it best to only use your generator (we have a 2007 33ft Sea Breeze) during the daytime (if needed)?
4. If we can't see much from the top of our rig, is it a problem to carry chairs to one of the turns to watch the race?
5. If there are only two of us, should we be okay on the holding tanks if we use disposable everythings but use our shower?
6. For LMS, which campsites are recommended?
That's it for now.

1. Can you have small open fires/fire pits in the infield?
we have seen many people have small fires in the past
2. How much of the track can you see from any one spot in the infield?
depends on your spot, what number are you?
3. Is it best to only use your generator (we have a 2007 33ft Sea Breeze) during the daytime (if needed)?
people run them all night if needed
4. If we can't see much from the top of our rig, is it a problem to carry chairs to one of the turns to watch the race?
not really there is a small viewing area in 2 and 4
5. If there are only two of us, should we be okay on the holding tanks if we use disposable everythings but use our shower?
depends on your tank size
6. For LMS, which campsites are recommended?
That's it for now.

We have been to the 2006 and 2007 October lowes race. We stay at Fleetwood rv Racing resort. Full hookups, 20x40 spot on gravel, directly across and walking distance to the track. Also right next to dirt track, and the other side is Tom Johnson Rv, for rv supplies if needed.
There is always plenty to do. Most all race shops have free tours. We stay for a full week, visit race shops early in the week. Its a blast. We are going again this fall! :D

I camped there for the all star race thru the coke 600 in 2006. I remember I had to call in feb to get a reservation and I had to call first thing in the morning as it is sold out in a couple hours. It is expensive but worth it full hook ups as well as a shower house (by 600 weekend the lines are very long with all the no hook up campers coming over) Tom Johnson RV center had all their units on display with huge discounts and real close to alot of the team shops. We could here the cars on the track whenever they were running so we could just walk over and check it out. A+++

Great info ... I'll be sure to call first thing in the morning on the 11th. We are really looking forward to touring the team shops. Is the 500 here yet? :D - Gina
