I just got an email from Daytona International Speedway and they gave me the name and number of the company that will be providing services in the infield. Below is a portion of the email:

"United Site Services will be available for RV Pumping. 800-910-2656 Sunday, 2/17 8 AM until the race begins. Per their instructions, “You will need to flag down the driver for service” They will also be there many days prior to that."

I called United Site Services this morning and spoke with Melissa and she said it would run $35.00 (cash).

Are we there yet??? How much longer???

I think with a lot of services, the cost of $3 + a gallon of fuel is catching up to everyone.

They have no other option then to pass the cost onto the end user.

Some of the music festivals we go to they charge $50 to pump out the gray and black tanks and another $50 to fill your freshwater tank, this cost is the same if you take on 20 or 120 gallons.

With that said NASCAR is a bargain.

I agree completely. It is still cheaper than what we thought it would be so we're happy either way. :) - Gina

In the email I got ... it stated:

"Potable water is provided at the North end of the West Lot for the exclusive purpose of filling your Specialty Vehicles water supply or your portable containers."

I know that I've heard from others that somebody comes around and fills you up for a fee. - Gina

There was one " private" guy doing it for 10 bucks, and guess what, he was just a camper, with a water tank.....

They all circle, what you need to do is grab the guys and ask them there schedule.

Where are you camping?

Mr Camping..
I am in the red zone spot #39 up against Lake Lloyd. If I have a long enough hose, or portable containers, think I could get water if needed??

....and whether or not ole Ben Franklin said that quote about Beer, God and proof he wants us to be happy, if that what it takes to get water at our sites, then so be it. (Though if we had Coors Light then I wouldn't need any water would we???)
