Fan Zone opens at 9am, I'd advise you getting there as early as possible, gets crowed as the day goes on, no you aren't in there for the day unless you want to be... You should have gotten a bracelet, you wear that and you can come and go as you wish all day long. If you are seated in the grandstands they have trams that run to and from the Fan Zone from the grandstand area.

Thanks Buddlite!(my fave beer by the way..) I am in the grandstands, got the bracelets, sitting in the Campbell Box. Can you leave and go back to your car? May need to reload a few buddie lites for the rest of the day...

If your there just for the Sunday race, yes get there early!!!!

The store on the infield in Fanzone also has lots of goodies, some stuff we found there they did not have at the front store.

Sure you can, make sure though if you actually leave the track area, to go to your car in the parking lot that you get a passout or else you won't get back into the track. To get to the trams that run out to the fan zone you actually have to show your race ticket 1st and enter the grandstand area. The tram for you out to the Fan Zone is located near Turn 1. Are you in town just for the duals or all week? Staying on or offsite? Did you happen to buy a parking pass from the speedway for your car if driving?

Thanks for the info. I'm there all week, staying off site and already have a parking pass. Parking in what looks to be lot 7, frontstretch. Anybody know about this area? I know there are shuttles to and from the track. Just wondering if it's good tailgating territory.

Lot 7 isn't close enough to the track that you are going to want to run back to your car for more beer very often. I Think Lot 7 is at cornor of Bill France Blvd and Clyde Morris Blvd thats about 2 miles I think from the track. Yes Speedway does run shuttles from there. But you should probably check the Daytona Speedway site, go under seating and maps i think and there should be something about parking. If you are staying at a hotel in Daytona, there is a a or a couple of local shuttle companies that will pick you up at hotel and bring you back after races also.

are you allowed to carry your 6x6x12 MASSIVE coolers into the fanzone? If so, I'm sure I'll only need to make 1 trip back the the car!

You know I'm not sure about that. If I were you I'd double check with the track. Who knows maybe another member would let you stash some brews at their campsites!!!!!!!
