I am getting reports of something absolutely unbelievable from Daytona.

The premium rv parking at Lake Lloyd, which cost $ 3,000.00 is gone.

The clubhouse that everyone has used has been converted to a Camping World Store.

Out and out fraud is what this is people have said, they have never told us this, we paid our money and they advertised our community center.

Now its gone.

I cant believe this, this if true is the biggest dissapointment I have ever uncovered in Nascar.

On the phone with Daytona now, yup its true, the Sheriff will have to park some extra cars there, people are talking mutiny and a class action lawsuit over this.

Well, I guess thats something I'd never have to worry about, $3k for a campsite a week, wow!

I am sorry to hear that. Not right of Speedway to pull something off like that. I find it weird they would just do this without telling folks. :???:
Exactly why I always camp in the West Lot. $500.00 from Jan 29th till after the 500, is much easier than almost 3000.00 for a week. Plus I can drive the toad in and out easily and still sit in the Towers for all the races for less $$$. Always have enough friends camping inside to visit if I want so no biggie. Works for me.:p

That stinks.

This is our first year down here and we are camping in the West Lot. Some people are having issues here with changes, also. I guess next year they are going to start enforcing the no motorcycles, no pets rules. Guess at least people are being warned in advance, so they can decide whether to come back or not.

Mr. Camping wasn't someone else complaining about not getting his spot next to yours this year. Also, The hole thing with your tickets going to some other address that you had 4 years ago. What is DAYTONA thinking???

And if you have a bike on the back of your rv this year?

They will confiscate it and hold it in the security booth till you leave.....

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine the pain of all of those broken hearts.

I've also heard Daytona wants to take the Green Reserved RV parking............ for the media and other executives.

They are truely breaking the spirit of Daytona's past.

:(

What's this Chris of no bicycles in the infield???

We were hoping to bring one or two, to have to run out to the store for supplies..........?

See ya soon!

Yup a friend just told me they asked him if he had bikes, he said yes, and they said they would have to leave them at security, locked up outside, he raised a fuss, they let him in....

...they raised a fuss and they let him in with the bikes?

We want to bring a bike with one of those kiddie trailers that attaches to the seat post..... to haul water bottles and cases'o'beer!

What should we do?

Now, that is a good Ideal. I never thought about that. I need to start looking for a cheap bike with a kiddie trailer. Or, one of those 3 wheel bikes with the basket on back. My husband has one of those that he uses at work. But, first I guess I need to check the rules at TMS.

In 3 and 4 things are a little " freer" shall we say, its a case by case depends who is on security that day, but dont hold your breath as they say...

We are staying in the West Lot and want to ride our bikes to the gates. Does anyone know if that is possible and if anyone else does that?

Nascarcamping

That should be okay there is no security check point like at the tunnel to go into the infield, more of just a way point so to speak.

The traffic volume is a lot less in the west lot as long as you are away from the main drag, you should be okay, and there is lots of fence area to chain your bikes up to.

Come to think of it you can have a lot of fun riding your bikes everywhere around there, just remember everyone is excited, new to the area, maybe drinking, so excersise some extra care:D

The lines I remmber from noon till dinner or so, by then almost all people are there.

Think of it this way, most people are coming a great distance and then overnight somewhere near the track, then get up and check out and head to the track.

Tough to predict any way you look at it, i remember one time there was a huge line up, and then the reason why?

Only one lane open.
