On windtunnel, they showed a clip where Tony Stewart said he was ready to retire, he is sick and tired of getting booed by the fans he says.
Interesting comments, he said it was not fun anymore.
Then again, we did not get to see the wole interview, but this was rather surprising to say the least

Yes...I could not believe it either...you should have seen the look on my husbands face  when he heard that...According to my husband the earth revolves around Tony, or something to that effect...
Would be sad if he retired...but perhaps he would go out in the Mark Martin retirement plan...or Michael Jordan...or Bill Parcells...

Exactly, I especially liked when his PR guy jabbed him in the side, like saying " hush tony..."!!
Tony just likes to vent, we see him do this allllll the time.
I expect him to be around a long time still

While I am on the soapbox...if I were Tony I would rather have the people booing me, than no response at all...I find it more insulting when they call a drivers name and they barely get an audible smattering of applause. Should count his lucky stars that people care enough to boo!! Focus on the positive Tony...and go for the third championship!!

I would think that this is just another Tony type remark than something that is close to being a reality. He said something along the lines of "when he'd made enough money to retire he would" Riiiiiiiight  He's too POOR to retire! :D

So if you watched the race last night, he was asked the question about him retiring, and as expected he said he wasnt going to
But, if you listened closely, while he was being interviewed, you could hear a lot of fans booing him in the background :?:
Not as much as Kyle Busch gets, did you hear that?
What I am puzzled about is where and when everyone started to boo Tony, I cant seem to see or understand why, its almost like I missed a year of Nascar, all of a sudden people are booing him?
Or is it more of just a " track by track event"??? :?

I don't know when Tony started getting booed again. I think he remedied that when he started climbing fences...guess he needs to win again to remind people!!
I like Tony...he says what he wants...and then goes to anger management... I prefer him a little fiestier...

Was watching ESPN tonight and they had a audio of Tony on his Sirius radio show...wondering how NASCAR is going to respond to that?? I agree, there have been many phantom debris cautions. But if NASCAR wants to justify these cautions, WHY don't they have the safety crews have a camera on the truck, just like the cars all have to have an on board camera...that way they could document what brought out the caution...
Just my humble  opinion...

I honestly think (really, not just because I'm a Stewart fan) people boo Tony because he is a threat. Most of the better drivers (including Gordumb unfortunatley) get booed. People don't like to see there driver lose! I know Laura doesn't and I have to live with her til next race day!!! Take a rookie... he does his drivers introduction and the crowd is silent. Lets move on to Gordumb....everything from cat calls to boos to GO GORDON!!
This is what I really like about NASCAR. Dedication, Dedication, Dedication.
Everyone has there favorite driver and backs him 100%, almost to a fist fight if necessary to prove a point.
Tony, I think, won't be going anywhere anytime soon. He enjoys racing to much and I even think he likes getting mad when someone bumps him, crashes, or loses.
This of course is just my personal opion. Take it with a grain of salt and call me in the morning!!!
