Drip tray on back of fridge

On the outside of my coach there is what looks like a drip tray, and a hose that goes into it, what is this thing for?

That tray that you are talking about is exactly that when the fridge is finished with a cooling cycle the fins in the back of the fridge will start to drip into a tray inside and out a hose to the outside tray and when the fridge goes back into a cooling cycle the heat of the stack evapourates the water and theres no mess. all the new fridges have the drip hose just sticking out of the vent and the water just drips down the side of the RV
