Get a good night sleeps folks, it will be a busy night as motor coaches will be pulling out all night long along with the haulers, its a sad time that is for sure.

You got till Noon tommorow, but its not really enforced, if you have some time roam the infield tommorow and take a look around and see what you can find, people leave everything behind.

Want a bbq?

There are lots left behind.

You will though be in competition with the homeless and other people looking through things, Daytona opens the gates freely tommorow morning.

Chris,

We had a awesome time. Better than expected. The two sites worked out beautifully. Weather was perfect. Very calm crowd in the West Lot compared to what we were used to at Texas. Still good though. The bikes were the very best move we made. I was a little hesitant on the fanzone but wow it was cool. My wife slapped hands with nearly every driver after intros on Sunday. Wow what an opener. Very Old School track but very cool. The Duals were some of the best racing we have seen. Very Very cool. It would not have been even half as enjoyable if it weren't for the great advice from this site. It was almost like I had consultants on contract telling me everything I needed to know. Great job NascarCamping.com. You were awesome! Thanks

Tim

Tim, glad you had a great time, how was it there for road noise?

Where the sites worthy of keeping in your opinion?

I stopped by to see Tim, thought those sites were a bit bigger, which was nice. He'll have to tell you about the noise, don't think road noice is an issue back there but Jet noise is since they back up to the runway. But you have a great view of all the drivers and teams planes coming and going :D Is a bit of a trek to the frontstretch stands and tram to the Fan Zone from there, Those sites are actually at the very back of West Lot.

Maybe I am a little naive but I felt we had some of the best spots in West Lot. There was very little road noise but the jet traffic was intense from 7 am till 9 pm. I am a pilot though so I thought it was cool. It was incredible how many times team airplanes shuttled people in and out. Anyway it would have been a major walk if we had not had our bikes. We could go from our spots to Sprint tower in less than 12 minutes without hurrying. In fact we locked up our bikes 100 feet behind Spint Tower and walked right in. The only people that had it better was the golf carts. We saw very few people on bikes. Either we weren't supposed to have them on premises or nobody else had thought of them but it was THE way to go! Anyway our spots were great and we had more room than we even really needed. I will post pics this week so everyone can see. Buddlite was awesome. She greated us right away! I was a little woozy from the 19 hour drive with no sleep but she was great. What a great crew!

Tim - I hate that I didn't get a chance to come down to see you guys. Wendy and I were back in the same "neighborhood", but seems like we were constantly on the go.

It was very cool to watch the jets come and go, especially the Thunderbirds. We met a couple of the pilots in the fanzone on Thursday.:)

Road noise wasn't horrible, and being tucked back in the corner we avoided a lot of the normal "cruising" that we sometimes see at the races. But there were a couple of 6am wake up calls from the airport.

We heard those jets from the turn two area as well. That made for some early mornings. The cruising aspect was entertaining as well, especially on Saturday night before the 500. It seemed after Saturday's race, there was a heightened electricity in the air. Did anyone else notice that?
