Two years ago, I wrote a few articles for a racing website, about our camping experiences at each of the tracks. It was too much trouble for this retired, full-time RVer.

Mark from TheTailgater.com here. We are a monthly, web-based magazine (or webzine) that looks at tailgating and camping at sporting events all over the United States. We are looking for racing fans who camp and tailgate at NASCAR races around the country. Would you be interested in sharing your adventures with our readers? Check us out at www.TheTailgater.com (mhtml:{2E763D93-D24A-4279-9A3B-843F393A5C29}mid://00000020/!x-usc:http://www.thetailgater.com/) and let us know what you think.
Best Regards,
This is what was sent over to one of our members, all I ask is that if you write something you obviously give us a very healthy plug for our website.
Rosie our webmistress is also a published author and can proofread anything you want to submit

If I send something, I hope she is not hourly.......:-D
My question is, if we submit something to them, are we going to loose rights to it if we end up doing our own book?

It depends on what rights you grant to them. Specify in writing that you reserve the right to publish the material elsewhere. If anyone asks you for all rights, run, fast!
However, I don't recommend that you put anything in a book that's already been published online. If people think that they can get the same material on the web, they won't buy the book.
You can tell the same story, just in different ways :) I once sold the same story to three different magazines by taking a different tone and approach based on who the readership consisted of.

OK. It was just a thought, because I know the MrNAscar was throwing the idear about our own book arouund. I am not much of a writer, but thought if anyone was going to contribute, they might want to keep that in mind.
