Well if folks didnt know we have been without this historic track for over 2 years now. The owner Bill Manfull has opted to use it as a big parking lot for the Hyundai Corp to store cars. All this came about after using the track for a huge event that brought out alot of racers with a big purse. I Even got the opportunity to get autographs from Bobby Allison,Donnie Allison and Red Farmer. We have to go to Birmingham,Opp,Huntsville,Sayre or 5 flags in Fla to see a race. All the big names of early NASCAR has raced at MMS and it is a shame to see this historic track just sit as a parking lot.....

As of last night we get our track back!!! There was a swell of support for the track and the Board of Adjusters voted to allow a variance since its in a flood hazard area.

Well just an update for those that like local short track racing...We have our track back and have had 3 good race weekends. I am working on the track Fire/Rescue. I am actually heading the thing up. We have had great fan response for the races. We still have those that try to sabatoge the track at every turn but so far we got them covered. There is even one guy who goes and gets pine straw up and wets it then catches it on fire so the smoke drifts into the track area. I hope to snag some pictures soon....Ok forgot I had one...MMS is a 1/2 mile track, just a tad under Bristol Im told
