This is our "home track". It's a 3/8 mile dirt track about 15 minutes from us (25 miles NW of Atlanta on 75).
They are set to start running in about 3 weeks. Last year we caught everything from WoO sprint cars to monster trucks to a demo derby. :) We park/tailgate overlooking the backstretch and have a blast.
Unfortunately, we are keeping our fingers crossed that they will stay open. Last fall Mike Swims (official title was VP and GM) passed away .. and it appears he was the entire operation as they cancelled the last month or so of racing (including a scheduled appearance by Bill Elliot and Tony Stewart).
If anyone happens to be passing through our neck of the woods over the summer and wants to head to the track, give us a shout. We are going to make a real effort to get to the track more this year.
