When I try to light the water heater, nothing happens. The gas is turned on, the ignitor is sparking and I'm holding down the pilot switch like the directions tell me too. Our stove works fine so I know that the propane is fine... Can someone help me before I go insane or blow myself up?

at times gas will evaporate or leak out of an appliance that has not been on for awhile, when was the last time it was on via gas?

At the time we bought the camper a year ago, the tech had to replace something dealing with the water heater. He said it was working fine when we got it back.

I suggest turning on the furthest appliance away from your propane tank, and then work backwards, this will purge the lines of air.
also when you are trying to light the tank, either or or M, look to see if you can see the igniter working.
also you most likely know about spiders?

You mean the eight legged creatures? I've heard the build webs inside of the tubes and I need to clean them out. I took a couple lines off and there was no evidence of debris.
All the appliances work fine, it's only the water heater. The stove and the fridge work great.
The ignitor is sparking, it just seems as though I'm not getting any gas back there.

can you see the gas line that comes in?
on my rig I can take off the panel and see the pipe, this way I can also look into it or fish inside of it with something to see if anything is in there or not.
can you smell any gas as it is trying to lite?
get the model number i will let Mastertech know about this issue as I will be talking with him tommorow.

I'll take the line off again and run some wire down it and see if that will help.
I can't smell any gas at all coming out of the line. But again, the fridge and stove are working just fine. I lit the stove this morning and the fridge was cold after about a half hour to an hour.
I'll get you the model/serial number tomorrow if that's OK.
I really think it's something to do with what the guy at the dealer replaced.
Thanks for your help.

i think that your not holding the pilot button down far enough
make sure the pointer is on pilot and push down as far as it will go you can use a bbq lighter to help the ignitor once its lit hold onto the button for at least 30 seconds then let it up and rotate to on position and it should turn on the main burner

OK, at this point in time I will try about anything.
I'm going to call the service tech at the place where we bought it and ask him a few quetions about it as well.
I know hot water is not a neccessity but it sure would be nice.
It's not like everyone else in the campgrounds smells like roses anyway. If we have too we can just take a sink shower.LOL
We'll get it figured out and it will probably end up being something I wasn't doing right knowing my luck.
Thanks again for your help.
