The other day when rolling up my awning, the locking clip for the one support rafter came apart and the spring flew off to an unknown location. Does anyone know what size spring this may be or where I can locate a replacement fairly quick and easy? Attached is a photo of the part that came apart, allowing the spring to fly out the other side.

The spring would position on the inside of the rafter arm to keep the gray clip locked in place snug against the outside of the rafter arm.. Best I can describe this, sorry...:-(
This photo is merely for reference, this is not my awning...

Jeff,
Did you try Camping World in Bolingbrook? I had an awning repaired there a few years ago.

No, that was my next option for follow up. I get scared every time I go there, I always leave spending a fortune. I can't image how much I will spend with the intention of buying a spring. lol

i have never seen such a thing installed on any awning that i`ve installed or repaired. the spring looks like on that would be on a screen door or a porch door. if any one could supply a part number and name brand i would be interested in selling

its not the spring that is pictured with that chain. There is a spring that is associated with the plastic clip that is circled. If you pull on that clip, the spring that should be there will make that clip return flat against the awning arm. That pictured chain and spring assembly have nothing to do with the one in my question. Sorry, probably not the best picture for reference, but it was the best I could find.

Went to Camping World this morning and was able to successfully locate the spring I needed, however, it only came as part of a complete repair kit. At worst I now have spare clips and an extra spring. I have posted below a printout of the directions which clarify the item I was searching for. Hopefully, this printout will be of aid to others who may endure similar circumstances as I. Thanks to all who chime in regarding this situation. Now, LETS GO CAMPING!!!!

Just wanted to know if anyone can give me a good online resource to buy a new awning and all the hardware to replace the one currently on my camper that was trashed at TMS this spring.
I need an 18' awning with the straight mounting bars.
Thanks!!
M.

Not sure of the type...I just want a base line price to start with before I go shopping at the locals here. We claimed it on our insurance...so now I need to go shopping.
We are not going to try to install it ourselves...but if I can get one cheaper on line, and have the rv dealer install it would be ideal.

Watch Camping World they usually run a free installation on awnings for members i will keep an I out in the catalogs. even if your not a member it might be worth the $11 to join for the free installation and cheape awning price
