We are having a wiring problem with the lights. Is there a manual for a 1998 Georgie Boy.
The Head lights and running lights wont come on we have checked the fuses. they are ok. Where else should we be looking? Also, there is no power getting to the fusses. Lights only. tks.

Shirley is this an RV? If so check the switch itself. Also if there is no power to the fuses check for an inline fuse from the battery.

Yes, it is on the RV. That is what he is trying to find now the inline fuse. But, he can't find it.

Usually if the inline fuse from the battery cable is blown, you won't have power to anything, nothing will turn on, and you won't have power to your ignition, and the rig won't start. And if you are looking for the inline fuse, sometimes it doesn't looks like a regular fuse, but instead its covered in black plastic or rubber, and might have a little tab on it that says "fuseable link".
If there is no power going to the fuses, try to trace the power wire going to the fuse box and see where it comes from, then check it there.
Here is a weird thing to look at, on my truck, if the emergency brake is on, the headlights and running lights won't turn on.
I also had a truck where if a brake light fuse was blown, the headlights and running lights wouldn't turn on, and it wouldn't shift out of park until the fuse was replace (a build in safety feature).
Good luck

Steve may have found the problem!!!! HOT DOG!!!! :-D
There is a line that is running to the starter that is burned into. The problem with this RV is there has been problems before and someone just cut the line and ran a new one but in doing so left the old lines there. I think we brought someone Else's headache.:evil: Steve has been pulling out lines that go No where.

If all else fails, run a new line from the fuse box and see if you have lights.

i hope that running that new line solved the problem just make sure you put a fuse in that line most coachs run wire harnesses that have extra wires for other options maybe one of those can be used to power up that dead line or atleast use one of them to bypass the dead line if i can`t find the issue with a shorted or grounded wire the fastest way to fix it is to run a new feed wire see if everything works if it does then just use the new wire

Thank you everyone Steve got it fixed. When we get back after this weekend Steve is going to look into fixing some other Electrical problems. Like the line that should be running to the light that tells you when your jacks are down. (that one me:-D)Also, he wont to fix an switch so known of the kid's or me start playing with jacks. Something that you will have to turn on before the jacks will work.
