John, you can't imagine how many times I said "Kyle has got to win this!"
LOL... Gary was pretty tired of it by the end:rolleyes:

The problem with Kyle, is he doesn't listen. His spotter, and his crew Chief were both telling him to be a little more conservative, after all he had a 3 second lead on the field, and they didn't want to see him crash. He is better at listening now that he is with Gibbs, and not Hendricks.
I do like his new name though. Someone called him "wild thing", I don't know if it was his dad, or his crew chief. I hope that it sticks, I like it better than "rowdy".

Yeah, that must be why I like him so much! I don't listen very well either!
I like "wild thing" better, too.

I like him because he and Kurt are from here, and he's got a lot of talent. Both grew up, went to school, and started racing here. Kurt once said when he first started in NASCAR with Jack Roush, "you think that I'm good, wait till you see my little brother, he's a much better racer that I am", and he was right. Kyle is going to go a long way in the sport, no matter how many fans hate him. Oh, B-T-W, drivers like, and respect him, it's just some of the fans that don't. My god, the fans booed his mother when she was introduced with Kyle and Kurt tonight.

Wow, that's a neat story. I just really like his driving style, he is like a wild stallion wanting to lead the herd. I know they want him to hang back, but I think he gets in more trouble that way then when he just goes for it.
I am sure the fans will come around eventually. I think the columnist are probably right about Nascar needing a bad boy around. It might even fuel Kyle's fire!

I think that your right. They didn't call Dale Earnhardt Sr. "The Intimidator" for no reason, and DW has said that he was hated by the fans for his aggressive driving style. Modern day driver Tony Stewart has been known as a bad boy, as has Kevin Harvick. They have all pushed people out of their way to win, and this includes Dale Earnhardt Jr., and this is by his own admission.

Hey there Big...no comment needed, I respect Junior as a driver as much as anybody. I just like Kyle's style, and the fact that he drives a Toyota.
I think the fans dislike him more for that then for his driving style. Nascar just has to realize that Toyota is here to stay and they are only going to become more prominent.
I really wish Tony wouldn't leave Gibbs, but I understand why he feels he has to. I think if he stayed with Toyota and supported their efforts, he would be given what he needs to become a true superstar. But he has to make his own decisions and live within his conscience. I will still support him when he goes to Hendricks, maybe just not as much.
