If you've been following Arca Anthonys posts, he's helping the Nationwide #84 team look for sponsors. I haven't been able to convince my company (yet) to jump in on it, but I did pass the info on to a friend, and her organization (WhiskeyGirls) is doing a sponsorship for the 84 at the NH race this June.

Well, the WhiskeyGirls are looking for sponsors to put their logo on the tee shirts they will be handing out at the race, and on the banner they will have in the #84 pit. It's only $60 to have the NascarCamping.com logo on the tee shirts and banner, anyone wanna go in on it with me?

Folks, Arca Anthony got in touch with me and the WhiskyGirls today, apparently NASCAR has denied the WhiskyGirls sponsorship of the 84 Nationwide car for the NHIS race. Sounds like there were some sponsorship conflicts (possibly with crown royal & jack, not sure).

Anyway, I know the whiskeygirls are going to try to work something out with the 84 & nascar, but for now, if those who were pitching in with me for NASCARCamping.com sponsorship of the whiskeygirls haven't sent a check, don't sent one till its figured out, those who have, they won't be cashed unless they work it out and its a go. I'll keep everyone up to date as I hear more.

bud, the whiskey girls are a group of women who model and and do fund raisers and support some local charities. Apparently they got the name cause they like their Jack Daniels too! I got to know of them via a former NHIS employee thats part of the group.

Hopefully Arca Anthony will drop in here when he gets a chance and give us some more insight to the issue.

Its a bummer cause I know the 84 car was looking forward to their sponsorship. I tried to get my company to do it, but they just weren't interested.

Whats going to happen now is, the WhiskeyGirls are going to setup a table at the track (outside the actual track, but at a high traffic area) and pass out literature about their organization & their fundraising, and then pass out some coozies and tee shirts. They had contacted the track, and apparently, since they are not selling anything they can do that.

What I'll do is, I've made a contribution to the whiskey girls, and for that contribution, they will put our url (www.nascarcamping.com) on the tee shirts for us. They will also pass out nascarcamping.com literature or bumper stickers if we want, so if we have any bumper stickers left over, ship them up and I'll have them passed out by the WhiskeyGirls.

For those of you who sent a check to me, I'll either shred them, or if you would like them back, just let me know and I'll send it back to you.
