November Sponsorship for #84

I am talking to Anthony about NascarCamping sponsoring the #84 for the November Race. If I did, how many members would like to Chip-in to make this happen. We would need the money for the Banner for the wall and freebie to give away. I haven't set down and put a pencil to a figure yet but we know that it is 2200.00 for our name on the car. If we did this how many members and how much could you donate.

No, I haven't talked to him. I was just thinking that this would be a way to repay him for all his hard work on the site.

I'm asking cause maybe theres a local company near where the race will be held who would be willing to take most of the load for us, and we can contribute some to help the company, and maybe get our logo on their publicity materials.

Hey folks, I know I am new to the site but maybe I can help out here. I grew up in the " Waterfall City" know it well. I am in a unique position in that I have family that used to sit on the City Council and are still pretty well connected. They also run one the local fairs here so know how to talk City Hall out of money! A better bet would be to see if the Province would cough up some buck to promote tourism, maybe tied in with Cayuga Speedway. Another of Mr Camping's loves. I sure hope I am talking about the right person!

Only big problem I can see with the whole deal is doing it at TMS. For gov't money they would probably want something closer to home to promote the cross border travel.

You know, Allmendinger lives part time in Toronto......at least I still think he does.

If you still want to try the idea, let me know and I will see what I can find out. Don't cost nothing to ask!:p

For a $100.00 donation your name will go into a drawing for tickets for 2 at a race.
For a $200.00 donation your name will go into a drawing for a campsite.

I just got off the phone with Anthony and he said that if we could come up with over $2200.00 he would throw in 2 more Passes to the Garage. If we could get these then we could give them to the Highest Donner. We need to get this started as soon as possible if we wont to do this. I wont to have the money raised by the first of October.

I am getting some donation on some drawings. As soon as I got those together I will get those posted. But, I still need more. As soon as I can get better I am going to try some places that deals with RV's/Camping and see if we can come up with something there.

I have a severly battered driver side quarter panel from a Jim Beam Black car that I could donate. It was from the all star race two years ago...and in classic Robby fashion...it needs a little cosmetic work on it...ha!!

I will post a photo of it up...have it up in the attic somewhere....my garage is maxed out for space of hanging new sheet metal.

folks, I've got a few checks that were sent to me to sponsor the 84 along with the whiskeygirls, but remember the deal fell through, so I didn't cash those checks. If everyone wants, I can send them to Shirl for this deal, just let me know.

And as an fyi, the girls did finally get on the 84 car, but it was for the ARCA race at Pocono, and they've gotten quite a bit of publicity since then too!

Well I know we will have a good turn out for Texas! I would be willing to be the jackman...ha!! Though I would love to be the spotter!! :cool: I've got the shirts and would be willing to donate them for that race. I have a little invested in those and could donate on that aspect of the project. I also have a piece of race used sheet metal that I was planning on putting up on eBay and use the proceeds of that to donate to this project as well. I am hoping if Robby does well this week that we could fetch a sweet price for it!!
