Nation Wide in Montreal.

With the coming of the Nation Wide series to Montreal this weekend, we here that reside in the beautiful Province of Québec are happy to welcome you all and hope that you have a fantastic stay in our humble home.

Our "local" boys will be racing this weekend, of course you all know about Patrick Carpentier by now and although some still have trouble pronouncing his name you all seem to have taken a real liking to the man in a short time table and we know that some of you in the States will actually be rooting for him this weekend.

Then comes the "super star"...Yes....I'm talking about the F1 champion, our very own Jacques Villeneuve. I am personally proud of this man, he has gone further than any "local" man has in a long time and he wants to be in the main show now, he actually wants to be in Nascar and this weekend he will be racing one of the best cars on the track, a car that is a proven winner at the hands of none other than Kyle Bush and Denny Hamlin, the #32 of Braun racing.
He better get his "groove" on and get going. I'm hoping for at least a top 15 in his case.

Now comes the big surprise of the weekend... A 20 year old guy that has dreams of making it to the big league, A kid that I have personally talked to about car set ups and his driving style, someone I am very proud to have had some real honest good time with just talking about the race and his car.

This kid has potential so please make sure that when you are watching the Nation Wide race this weekend that you zone in on the #22 car of Fitz racing, it will be at the hands of none other than out very own Nascar Canadian tire series champion, Andrew Ranger.

This guy is a real wheel man, he's won his championship in his rookie season, yes ROOKIE as in yellow stripe on his bumper......Oh and just to tease you fans that are against open wheelers in Nascar.....Well guess where this kid comes from.....Yes Open wheel...so there...!!! LOL!!!

So as you can see, we here in Canada and specially in Québec are very avid fans of Nascar, we love this sport and if you take a look at the attendance numbers for this Nation Wide race you will soon realise that we are in close numbers to the Watkins Glen Cup race.....we love our racing here and we want more......And we are working real hard at getting a Cup race eventually.

If you happen to be watching, I'll be sitting in the Pearson grandstand with a huge smile on my face and a camera that will never stop clicking.....LOL!
