I bought a rebuilt cooling unit for mine, and it works great now. If you smelled amonia, you have sprun a leak and it is shot.
I will try to find the website where I purchased the referbed unit. They sen you everything you need to remove and install except for the tools. I did mine in about three hours. That was taking my time. That was a year ago, and It is still working great.
SEarch on the Internet, it should be near the top.

I'd run a bar fridge on 110V, keeps the cost down and works great providing you have a converter and or generator and or 110v at the site.
I'm cheap ! LOL!

I pad $350 for mu rebuilt a year ago, shipping included. That sound like a deal. If you have already pulled the unit, it shouldn't take but a couple of hours to swap the cooling unit and re-install it. Just make sure the fridge is level with the rest of the trailer when you re-instal it. (Level the trailer first then instal the fridnge so it is also level) Make sure the cooling pipes are snug against the metal parts of the frindge box and you use that stuff that makes the cold transfer better. They should suply it with the rebuilt unit. I had to go back and re tighten mine after a few weeks so I could get it cold enough.

There have been several recalls on those fridges, here is one leak for one of the recalls,

I also heard that there was a 2nd recall (possible fire being caused by the fridge), I'd get in touch with the company and see if your unit is one of those being recalled.
