Hello,
Nice forum. Thanks for setting it up. I have few questions if someone would be willing to help out a newcomer. I am traveling down on Saturday and would like to camp in a RV. My questions are: Can I rent one for 3 days? Would I be able to get a campsite for that short amount of time near the track? If so, which ones do you recommend?
Thanks again!!

While there are some places that will rent you an RV or TT for races at Daytona, I seriously doubt that you would be able to find one for only 3 days. Most places I know of have a minimun of a week for the Daytona Races, plus that is premimun pricing for that time. Not alot of rentals in Daytona proper, usually have to rent from Orlando. There was a place called Jim's rv rentals in Daytona that would deliver to the track for you at extra cost but not sure theyare in business anymore, you can find them on the web. You would also have to purchase a spot to park it from the track. All in all camping at Daytona isn't the cheapest thing in the world. If you are flying in for just 3 days you might consider hotel/motel, but they usually have minimun stays also. I have heard of a company that actually has their own RV at the track and sells spaces in it for the races. Guess you would be sharing with others. If I can find their site again I'll post it here.
If you are coming from Maine and can't do the camping thing there are a few companies that do some "turs" things which include tickets for race, hotel, bus if needed and sometime some fun hospitality stuff and tours.Might be a fun option for you considering your time frame

The only place I can think of that you may be able to get a spot for less than a week would be at Crazy Horse which is behind the flea market. They set up shop to tweak everything before the March Bike Fest.
