I'll be in Texas . but . not at TMS... :(

I am flying in to DFW on Wednesday, Oct 22 for a software conference at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine Thursday thru Saturday (10/25). Unfortuntely, I am flying back out EARLY on Sunday a.m, 10/26. I had hoped to work it out to stay through the week and be at TMS for the race on 11/2, but it just wasn't in the cards (or budget).

I'll be jealous of y'all who are at the race and maybe one of these years Mr Mo and I will make it to TMS with Freddy Fleetwood.

Mo, sure do wish ya'll could stick around for the race. But, I do understand. Motels that week doubles in price for any race weekend at TMS.

A year ago when I found out the software conference would be in Texas this year, I had planned to take the whole following week and stay with various friends in Texas and go to the race the next weekend.

Unfortunately, when the travel request was put in for the usual 3 of us to go to the conference, we only got approval for one to go and that one wasn't me, 3 days before I left for Charlotte, the woman who was supposed to go resigned, so I had to scramble to get everything changed to my name and because of other staff shortages there was no way to take another week (even though I have the time) so close to coming back from LMS.

I have been to TMS .. just not for a race and I really want to get there for a race one of these days.
