Got the camper winterized today. :(

Means the racing/camping season is done for us, but only 126 days until Atlanta in March. ;)

Geeze, mines been winterized, covered, and put to sleep for a month now... season end early up in NH, have had temps in the high 20's already! Might just get the snowblower out tomorrow and get it ready.

A sad time for sure. I just drained ours and left all the taps open. We left it at the lake in case we get a nice winter weekend to go up and stay.

True. Guess I should count my blessings a bit anyway. :)

We don't get much freezing, but I messed up last year and didn't do a good job of winterizing. Luckily I just need to replace an outside shower. Just figure better safe than sorry.

How was your trip to Atlanta?

Alt Tim, my trip to Atlanta was good. I was surprised how quickly traffic moved in and out of the track, nothing like in NH where you can wait forever trying to get out. I liked the setup there where all of the vendor trailers are setup outside the track, and there was so much room there, plenty of room for people to walk around without bumping into each other.

But the one thing that I saw there that I've never seen before were boiled peanuts! I saw people walking around with what looked like wet peanuts in bowls and I had to ask our friends there what they were. I didn't get a chance to try them, maybe sometime though. Up here in NH its just plain peanuts, maybe a boiled peanut stand would do well at NHMS!

Winterize!!! There is still racing left. I will be at Homestead next weekend and I can't wait.

Also I live in Florida, so this is the start of camping season for us.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so very sorry for you, hope it will only be a very short term thing for you and that you get back to work soon...hopefully the new Prez will do something to turn this country back around and keep jobs here instead of encouraging them to go overseas so the "Fat Cats" can make more $$. Unless we get job back into this country we can kiss our economy good bye.

I don't think its gonna be short term, a good number of people were let go, and I'm not holding my breath thinking that we'll be called back. It's just a tough time. And yes, it sucks!

If we kept the camper at the house, I'd keep it ready to go all year. But, since we keep it in storage I don't want to take any chances.

We've had ours winterized for a while too but we still camp. We just use the campground facilities when we go.
