This is probably a dumb question and likely shows our RV ignorance (forgive us, we are rookies to the RV lifestyle and can only dream of having one someday). My wife and I just took a road trip from VA to Jacksonville, FL this past weekend... as we were going down 95 last Thursday, and then coming back up today, we couldn't help but notice the ABSURD number of RV's headed south. We were trying to figure out where everyone was going. Is it just all the snow birds from the north headed south for the winter?? Just curious.

That's it .. snowbird time ! They start flocking south in early November and returning in March and April! And for the ones that fly South, watch for the car carriers loaded with New England tagged vehicles.

November 1st is usually the time people start to go and April 1st the time they come back home!

I guess that's what it was then. Definitely a lot more headed south today than even when we were driving down Thursday. Made us jealous as we were heading back north today...

Trust me, they are arriving in mass, have been for the past week or so. Days of going out to a restaurant and not having to wait for a table are gone for 5 or 6 months...

GA-FL college football game was in Jacksonville this past weekend and it's a large RV event...as I was there to witness.

That's why we were headed to Florida! Fun weekend, although didn't turn out too well on the field for my team. We walked through "RV City" before the game... might look into doing the game that way next year.
