Thanks for reminding me.

When I got to school this morn.

A girl was running down the hall yelling at the top of her lungs this reminder.

There is a lot of tension here at our High School this morning

One of the things I thought about last night is how this would effect NASCAR?

Think about this for a minute.

See where I am going with this!?

Thoughts?

Nope, no idea where you are going with this, but am concerned of lots of folks daming the whole idea when it hasn't even gotten going yet. regardless of who anyone personally has voted, way I see it is I'm hardpressed to see how the past 8 years have benefitted me or many folks I know in a good way, lost jobs, 401K has tanked, going to less races because of no $$$, National Deficit highest ever, Fat Cats only got fatter at my and everone else's expense (except theirs). Will this be better or worse, who knows. I for one am taking a wait and see attitude before I make any judgements one way or the other. Someones gotta pay for the bills that have piled up over the past 8 years, unfortunatley it will most likely be us, since there is no one else. But maybe, just maybe, if we can get some jobs BACK to the USA instead of farming everything out overseas, we'll have a shot and getting this back on course.

That is what I am screaming...give him a chance. Can't be any worse than what we have had for the last eight years. Like it our not, he is going to be OUR President of OUR Country. Personally, I am excited about it...change is good. I am just tired of the "urban legends" and what not that people use for their justification of why they don't like him...if any of the nonsense was true, you would think the big whigs in D.C. would have been the first to blow the whistle on him and attempt to expose it...sheeesh...if they could dig up a blue dress, certainly they could have unearthed some concrete evidence to back all of the radical claims.

Lemme get off my soapbox...

Don't know how it will affect NASCAR...forgot that was the question of the hour...:p I believe the Obama platform was to get rid of the lucky dog and let them race back to the start finish line. ;)

All this talk of him being the black JFK, makes me think he'll not want to travel to the Texas race anytime soon. Gonna be interesting to say the least.

everyone has a clean slate with me until I get to know them and can make an informed opinion. So here is wishing him luck, he's inheriting a hell of a mess. I wonder if Mr.C is referring to the drive for diversity. Well much like the US, Nascar is about ready for a shot in the arm to try and get things going again. I sure have seen alot of empty seats this season.

I thought the platform had something to do about either "no more restrictor plates" or maybe it was "everyone has the opprotunity to race in thru qualifying, no more top 35 are locked in"

You got it right:)

Thats what I meant, it would be interesting to see if there where now more racers coming in of different races.

That includes us Canadians Eh?

Hey Petty Family listen up!

I must be totally missing the point :? What on earth would a (half) black president have to do with Nascar and the demographics of it's drivers?

So what you people are saying is that you voted for a 74 year old man that voted 90% of the time with THE WORST PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME ? The people you voted for are the reason this country is in the dumps and the only reason!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOUR MINDS.
