My friend and I are at the campground in Homestead. the weather is very warm and humid. You can feel the excitment in the air. Everyone here is very friendly no matter who your driver is. can't wait for the big day tommorrow. Hope to hear from takesabreath3, it will be great to meet someone from NC.com. I have my rookies tailgate flag hanging on my camper, hope to get others to check out this board. talk at you later.

nope no camping this time. pete drove his 96 chevy impala down....whoa what a car loud pipes, awesome stereo....we are rocking on!!

the condo is right on the beach. when i get the pics posted you will see a shot!!

another great race today....sure was thinking that cousin carl would pull the championship out of clints hand...but it wasn't to be. but i was also glad that clint won!!

just as long as titty baby busch didn't i was happy!!!:twisted: (sorry pig)

Well it wasn't hot for the big race. Got down right chilly up in the stands. Good thing my neighbors at the camp site had a roaring fire going when we got back. The wind was gusting at 3:00 am the morning of the race and my screen room blew over. Only one peg still keeping it in our site. Now I need to get a new pole for one of the twisted ones.
Sorry we didn't get to meet up takesabreath, but I can't wait to see your pictures. I will post mine and my friend's soon. We were standing right behind the stage for the Speed chanel, the camera was right in our faces a couple of times. I called a couple of my friends to tell them to watch for us.
The bad thing about this trip is you plan for it all year and then it is over so fast. Time to start planning for next year.
