Just wanted to get some opinions here. I bought my 30' Sprigdale in 06 and have had little trouble with it. Well last year I found a leak in my rear slide but it wasn't the roof. The water seemed to be coming in from a strip at the bottom of the slide that looked like some caulk was missing. I originally thought it was because I put some gear up that was wet. Re-caulked it and didnt have any problems. Well I am just getting ready to go camping for New Years and dropped something and it rolled under the hide-away bed/sofa. I reach under it and find the carpet wet. I dont know how long it has leaked but to my eyes it didnt look good. Well I get the couch out of the way and dry it up and try to clear up the mold thats there. I cant see inside the wall so I assume I have mold there. It seems like I have the same type of leak as before but on another slide. Do you think the manufacturer would do anything to help me (I think Im out of warranty) or am I just screwed? :x

Bama, we had the exact same problem and our dealer would not do anything on warranty. We had to pay for the full repair. Luckily, it didn't do much damage, just some trim.

it wouldn't hurt to call the manufacturer. I had purchased a used trailer a few years back that was out of warranty. Its a hybrid with those popout tents, and a few of the tents ripped. Well, the dealer wouldn't do anything for me so I called the manufacturer, and they send me 3 new test at cost, I saved about $800 over what the dealer would have charged me.
They may at least offer you some tips on what to look for.

Being in the business for over 20 years. The best thing you can do to fix or prevent a slide leak is to put a slide out awning on it. I dont know why they dont just go ahead and put them on at the factory. It would save them a lot of money in warranty.

I had some caulking that seperated at the upper and lower weatherstrip where the fiberglass sheet meets up top and down on the bottom. I recaulked and after a few rains I have had no leak.
