Nascar in Canada

Fundytrail suggested a new section for Nascar in Canada, so here it is :D

As a fellow Canuck, this is a great idea, especially since Nascar is coming to Canada this year with the running of the Busch race in Quebec.

But those that dont know, is that our " Cascar" circuit is now known as The Nascar Canada Canadian Tire series.

Nascar actually has a long history in Canada, quick who as a famous driver won a Nascar race in Canada, and when and where was it???

Richard Petty won a Grand National race in Toronto (National Exhibition Grounds )on 18th July 1958. Richard was 21 years old at the time. :D

This was Richards 1st NASCAR win, it was also the year he married Lynda.

I could be wrong about Richards win as the web site below indicated Lee Petty won the race and Richard came 17th.

Down to 8 degrees tonight, man I know its the second day of summer and the nights are now officially getting shorter, but this is ridiculous :evil:

We had a heat wave, at a damp 12 degrees had to sit close to the camp fire last night. :cry: But they did get the PASS show through to completion. :D
