I read today where ISC is expanding at the Kansas track and wants a 2nd race there. The article continued to say that 2nd race would come from another ISC track, but whats to stop ISC/NASCAR from pulling a race from an SMI track or Dover or Pa.??? They just better leave NHMS alone!

Kansas is not the only track looking for a second race or a first one for that matter! Vegas wants a second race, Kentucky Speedway wants a race yadda yadda. They should just dump both California races since nobody goes there anyhow!

Looks they are going to re-start the process of getting a casino approved and put at the track. They had killed the process last year in December due to the economy.
My guess is they wouldn't have bothered pushing forward with the casino if they didn't think they had a real good chance of getting a second date.

Tim, take it from a gambler. I could care less if the casino has any races at all nearby...just as long as the tables are hot, slots are loose. :D
I would really prefer Kentucky getting a race. But since ISC doesn't own it and you know who does, thats a long shot.

:-o
KC already has a few casinos "on the river", not sure if this would be one of the first that has come further inland or not. Even though we've made a few trips that direction the last couple of years, I haven't had a chance to stop by any of them yet.
I'm not a big fan of KC getting a 2nd date. Now if this was 1997 and I still lived in southeast Kansas, I'd probably feel different. ;) The only thing I don't like about Kentucky is the whole precendent (sp?) they seem to be setting. Build it, sue, then sell to Bruton (or ISC), and you'll have your date (or money at least). :)
