1. You arrive at the track six days before the big race,
2. The flag pole attached to your camper is higher than the flag pole at home,
3. You have a flashing light atop your flag pole,
4. You know what “dry” camping is and do so on a regular base,
5. You carry around an old washing machine tub for a fire pit,
6. The paint scheme of your RV matches a race car paint scheme,
7. You have a viewing platform atop of your RV,
8. The mats, pillow cases & blankets in your RV all have matching numbers on them,
9. Your outdoor patio mat looks like a checkered flag,
10. You can prepare a gourmet meal in the middle of nowhere for 12 people but can’t boil water at home (men only),
11. You watch “Trackside” under your awning, but can look up and see the lights of the live show,

You can maneuver through the tightest traffic simply by giving a set of beads.
You can carry on a conversation with a random drunk who wanders into your campsite, and feed them dinner, and then think to yourself...would I do that at home??

..You don't make it to Daytona for the 500, but you decorate your house to look like a campsite for the party. The only thing we were missing was a porta potty.
(It leaves your friends no doubt as to how big a redneck you really are)

That is something my family does. Daytona 500 in my family is like thanksgiving. That is not a joke. You have to love the 500, my family does it for the Indy too, but I am always at LOWES for the 600.

I did put a yellow strip on our Bumper. We took it off this year when we went to TMS. Even then I didn't wont to take it off. :sad:
I wonted to leave it on. But, we were not Rookies anymore.

If you have a 42" TV inside your camper (see in through the window?) and the smaller flat screen outside is just not big enough:confused:; so, :confused:what do you do? :idea:you project the race on the side of your camper? :-D:-D:-D: It was not a NASCAR campground...:D - but it did draw in a few NASCAR fans...:-D ...

Just pass out cards and bumper stickers!!!! I have seen the same set up at TMS across from us. I was looking today at projection screens.

Shirley, we improvised:idea:..we didn't have a projection screen:-|; so we used a sheet...:D It worked out pretty well after securing it with duct tape and zip ties 8)
