South Boston

Wendy and I will be heading towards Richmond this Saturday, and as luck would have it we'll be near South Boston Speedway. We are going to stop near Martinsville to see some family, so depending on timing, we may stop at the track for the Saturday night races. The cool thing is, they would let us stay overnight at the track.

Does anyone plan on going to the track on Saturday? If so, let me know and we can try to hook up. We have not 100% committed to getting to the track, so don't make any plans on our account.

There is also Rolex racing this Sat. at VIR. I don't know if you are into that but, it is a real pretty track to see. You might want to look into it. Here is the website. It is 20 miles west of S. Boston.

Yeah, I saw that but it doesn't quite fit into the schedule. With trying to get a visit in on Saturday, and heading to Richmond to get set up on Sunday, just not enough hours in this trip through the area.

Otherwise I'd definitely be interested. I also saw that if you take a ticket stub from the weekend's racing at VIR to South Boston, you can get a buy one get one deal at SB. Or if you take a ticket stub from Saturday night at SB to VIR on Sunday, you also get buy one-get one.

I have been to South Boston once, for the last Busch (Nationwide) series race held there, but have not had a chance to make it to VIR yet.

I would be there myself but I went to the ROCK last weekend. It is the girlfriend's weekend with Buffet tonight and a Beach Music Festival on Sat.
