KHI (Kevin Harvick's race team) is taking quite an interest in Canada...

KHI signs Canadian Fitzpatrick - Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today that J.R. Fitzpatrick will compete for the team in selected events in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series throughout the remainder of the 2009 season.
The Cambridge, Ontario, Canada native will pilot a KHI entry in eight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events, beginning with the AAA Insurance 200 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway on May 29.

And...

Gale heads north to race - Canadian NASCAR fans won't have to cross any international borders to watch Kevin Harvick Inc.'s (KHI) exciting young driver, Cale Gale, this season as Farwell Racing Inc (FRI) announced today that Gale will drive the all new No. 13 Rheem Chevrolet Impala for much of the 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season.

It's good to see the crossover starting with Nascar and Canadian rracers/racing - signs of good things to come - I hope!

What isn't said here is that J.R. Fitzpatrick had to pay KHI 2 million Smackers for that ride !!!

2 Million for 7 truck races and 2 nationwide races? I'm sure they had to bring sponsorship money but has that number been posted anywhere.

wow, I had no idea it would cost anywhere close to that for a total of 9 races that's a little under 1/4 million a race. Would it not of been cheaper to run a full season with TRG and go for ROTY?

His dad has plenty of cash, don't think that will put a big dent in the wallet!

We had J.R is Halifax this week end running a legend car on one of his off weeks! We had a practice crash and had to switch from the #23 to #3 and pulled off a 1st & 5th on the double header week end.
