Ike, back when I was into the delivery service up there around Dallas, Ft Worth area I had a CB that I carried with me. For about 5 years. Because I had to run on time everyday I used it to find out where the finder binders were at and the smokies. I had so much fun!!

I am a trucker myself, the radio is good for road conditions and smokies, however, whe you are on the road for long periods of time or late at night, the radio helps keep your sanity.

CB used to run a 1000 wat "porch light" but I got out of it for a while. I have one in my pick up for when I am traveling....like you said... sanity and trafic. It also works better than any radar detector.

Ike,

We are in Delaware so if you ever make it out to the east coast, give John a yell (KB3MLT) or channel 15 on the CB (Tech 1).

Happy Trails and hope to hear from you soon.
