Well Great News :o My lady's grand parents baught us this "cute" little used travel trailer. so we won't be in a tent after all. My problem is that THe only generator I have is a very loud Coleman 5000 wat generator. Do you think during the hot daytime hours they will give me a hard time running it? I priced the "Superquiets" and that is a bit... :? no, very unreasonable for a generator that will power the AC unit. :x
Also if anyone has any 2007 info on Camping at Pocono, THat would be great. I did read the earlier post by the group with the keg, so that helps. I will be on the outside in the family rv, grandstand area.
Thanks again. This site is Great. I think we need a logo and Membership stickers for our "Rigs"........? :P :D

Find out about the " hours" that you are allowed to operate the generator.

But, to make a homemade " muffler" here is what I suggest.

and this is only because you dont want to upset your neighbours, and that Nascar Fans are the best people anyways, so I know you will want to " keep the peace" as law enforcers say :P

Measure up the unit for an enclosure made out of wood, and line the insides of it with styrofoam, I have seen the 2 inch pink stuff used, and maybe even an idea would be to use the insulated fire resistance stuff.

You want to make up a box basically that will enclose it, and absorb or at least stop the first set of " sound waves" that the unit will make. THis will greatly impress your neighbours and maybe even yourself!

Yes, some of those huge industrial units can be incredibly loud, that is for sure, experiment before you go at your house till you build something that works :D
