DALE The Movie

Has anyone seen CMT Insider this weekend? They showcase the upcoming DALE movie. It will be a great movie. I wasn't a big Dale fan, not like my husband, but I sure do miss seeing him on the track, hearing his voice, etc. I'm sure this episode will be on again between now and the Daytona 500. I had no idea about this, but I watched the trailer, I do bet you one thing, there will probably not be a dry eye at some point during this movie.

While in Talladega last year, I stopped by the library and met " Betty" I think that was here name, she runs the library there, and bought the book about Dale, its in the bus now, almost finished it, and a very good book.

Also at this same race, there was a memorial service and dedication more a dedication I guess, but they had a room all set aside about Dales history, I took a lot of pictures, and will make up a seperate spot on our website for this in the future. That room, was so quite, it was weird.

I guess it was because people knew he was no longer with us. During the visit, you could barely hear a peep out of people, it was a line of about 50-100 people waiting to get in, and was just like a funeral visitation to tell you the truth.

The display was very moving, many artifacts,trophies,and dedications made to immortalize his memory.

In listening to the press that have seen this movie, apparently it is a very well done and truthful movie, it sounds more like a documentary than a movie, and even dale jr said that it was a very good movie, I think he said it was perfect even.

The problem is, most of us will never see it on the bigscreen, as it is going to be following wherever a race is around the country. But, I am guessing it will go straight to DVD this year also.
