Very new to RVing, looking to pull my car, tow dolly or tow bar.
Pros and cons, is one safer than the other, easier on the rv etc?
Thanks for your input.

I do It all depends on the vehicle that you are thinking of towing. Certain makes and models are not able to be towed with all of their wheels on the pavement. It has to due with lubrication within the transmissions of these vehicles. If you tow with a tow-bar system,or tow dolly you must be aware that you need to plan your travel as it is near impossible to back up the M/H while the tow vehicle is still attached. If you tow with the vehicle loaded on a car carrier, tandem axle trailer, you are able to travel easier, until you stop. At this time you have to find a place to store the above trailer, usually 22feet long, as well as manuvering it with the M/H,unless you have a hitch mounted on the towed vehicle. We towed with a car-carrier behind the M/H and I myself found this not to bad. It is what you can afford and the type of vehicle you want to tow. In the end we purchased a 5th wheel, and tow with a diesel P/U. In a lot of states you are required by law to have a supplimentry braking system within the vehicle which you are towing. Research this out before any decision is made as it can become a money pit. Hope this is a little insight.

i have a 03 jeep liberty base plate took me 30 min to install used a brake buddy and wired the lights to the open lens on the back so for its been the easiest tow car put the transfer case in neutral and away you go
my other one was a jeep cherokee easy to install tow bar and wire
i like any of the jeep family that has a manual transfer case because there are no extra expenses ( lube pumps, drive shaft disconnects, etc. )
