View Full Version : Slideout not working

One of our slides isn't working right, one side of the slide go's the other just sits there, could it be something with the motor or something else. This is the our first trailer with slides so not sure.

Is the motor making any sounds? We had a problem with another camper that sheared off the bolts. Once we fixed that problem everything worked fine.

Just wondering if you found out what the problem was on you slide. I had a similar problem and found out it was the gear under the slide had missing teeth and would stop when it gets to the bare spot. The rear wardrobe drawer was open and you can't see that untill it's too late.

No we haven't got it fixed yet husband thinks the motor is out but he has been working out of town so no time yet to really look at it

Lippert components have a lot of parts for slides.

You have bolts sheared off on the drive shaft on one side. Make sure you use new locking nuts and if I were you I would replace all of them at the same time. Make sure they are the same tensile strength as the originals because they act as a shear pin to stop damage to the gear rails and motor if the slide gets jammed.
