TOOK THE TT OUT FOR A SPIN TODAY,AND UPON ARRIVAL(NO MORE THAN A 5 MILE DRIVE) NOTICED THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL ON THE TRAILER WAS EXTREMELY WARM.COULD THIS BE FROM THE BRAKE NOT RELEASING OR A BAD BEARING?

IT IS TOO HOT TO WORK ON RIGHT NOW,ALTHOUGH I DID PULL THE GREASE CUP OFF AND NOTICED A BURNT SMELL.
DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS FROM THE GREASE OR BRAKES.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.2 WEEKS TILL LOUDON AND I DON'T NEED ANY PROBLEMS NOW.

Sounds like a bearing to me, was the grease cup dry? When was the last time they were repacked? If it is the brakes dragging, you should really notice a pull when you are towing.

I would say bearing also, especially if it was to hot to work on after just 5 miles.

Well I found my problem.Took the drum off and lo' and behold the yellow return spring on top of the assembly was broken.Effected repairs, put it all together, and away I went with no problems!!!!Relplaced ALL bearings as a precaution, took out for a serious romp and all seems well for now. Thanks for the help.

Loudon,here I come.
