The original tires on our trailer were Carlie which were replace with General tire (Not sure where they were made) after the incident below I now have tires made by Goodyear here in North America.
I checked the tires pressure and did a visual inspection less than 24 hours prior to the tire failure.
The tire in the picture showing the trailer damage is the old spare (General).

All tires on rv's seem to be crap.I have Missions on mine about 15000 miles and they look perfect tire press is always good no ware what so ever. I have a tripaxle toy hauler a get into some pretty tight bends looking in the mirror you will swear the tires are about to come off the rims on some tight turns. I think alot of the damage comes from rubbing curbs and hitting curbs or objects. As for the Goodyears i here just as many problems with them as every other tire.

Mr. BigBlock thanks for bursting my bubble on Goodyear ;)
Dealer called and only had 2 tires in stock and now I have to wait untill I return from NHMS to get the rest of the tires :-?

Just a little insight about the larger size Goodyear Marathon tires. I had a tire, a Goodyear Marathon,ST235/80-16, blow out on the way to Florida at New Years. It was made in the USA, but all new replacements in that size by Goodyear are made in CHINA. I tried to get a set built in North America but no one builds that size here anymore. At 250 a piece I went to a load range heavier. I replaced one set in Florida and replaced the other three here in Ontario at a price of 240. With exchange it adds up. I think the above tire failed because when I was loading the 5th. wheel I scrubbed that side wall on the ice in our driveway before we left.

The site below shows the DOT cross reference to tire mfr. plant, the site has not been updated for some time but still a good reference;
