I am so disgusted. Just watched Jackson/Barrett sell Davey Allison's Daytona 500 winning car with trophy, helmet, and driving suit for an unbelievable price of $125,000!

Who owned it? Didn't his family have the trophy and things? Do you know who bought it? Hope they put it in the Daga museum or something. Sorry for all the questions, just shocked I guess.

Actually Robert Yates owned it and was the one putting it up for auction. The tropy wasn't the drivers trophy but the trophy given to the car owner of the winning car. Think they call it the Governors Cup or something like that. Robert had said he hoped it would go to some sort of collection where others could see it. All I know about the buyer is that he apparently has a rather large Ford collection including various racing cars. Hopefully it will be somewhere that others can see it now. But fairly certain its not the Dega Musemn, which I agree it should have gone

Maybe the buyer can sell it to the Dega Museum and make a few bucks. He sure got it cheap enough!
