all I'll say is this: When Carl was first in the truck series then moved to the Cup series he seemed to be so thankful just to have the opportunity to race with the big guy's. But I think he got a little full of himself and something changed. He's not the same happy guy. 100+ laps down and take someone out in 5th.... I don't know. I don't think that Brad tried to wreck him in the beginning of the race. I think I'm starting to have more respect for Kyle Bush than Carl. I'm still for letting boys be boys. So as far as the punishment, I don't think the punishment fits the crime. That was a little over the top. Like Brad or hate him, he was lucky to walk away from that one.

Many drivers inthe past have used thier front bumper to get a guy loose to complete a pass. However, in my opinion what Carl did was certainly unprofessional. I'm sure that Carl never intended to get Brads car airbourne. That happened thanks to the garbage rear wing.

Well here's my take on it. First, I don't think Brad did anything wrong, he just wasn't giving up any space on the track.

Now the accident, it was done on purpose, Carl even admits to it, it just went farther than he expected. But, it cost Brad a lot of points (and who knows how those points will effect him when it comes to the Chase), it cost him prize money, and probably $250K or more for the car, and Carl only gets probation!

If NASCAR can prove it (or if the driver admits to wrecking another), the guilty driver should be responsible for the cost of the damages to the wrecked car. Then they should be hit with a good size points penalty, that's where it hurts them the most!

As for the accident itself, again I'm sure Carl is just as surprised as everyone else that it was as bad as it was, but you never know what can happen when you do that at high speed, and in the end, I think Carl should be benched for 1 race.

I go with the Drivers...If Carl didn't do it, someone else would have! They also said that if they were in Carl's position, they wouldn't have taken it as long as he did!

Tell me what Carl was taking????? Should Brad just pull over and let some older driver get in front of him????? Should Brad not try to pass any older driver that he is faster then??????? If he does either of these things then he should be fired by Roger. I think all this "he doesn't show enough respect" stuff is bull. He should drive as hard as possible and if the other driver's want to pass him, then driver faster.

They race at Bristol and Martinsville for payback not at 190 MPH
Also they need to wear Black Gloves so nascar can't see in the car.
Look at old tapes of short tracks to see the proper way to wreck somebody

Interesting comment about the black gloves, I wonder how many drivers will be doing that!!!!

I'm curious to know what the heck happened between the time of Carl's first interview and his eventual hunting down of Keselowski. When Carl was first interviewed in the garage area he was upset with Keselowski. After seeing the replay he said, "It looked like it wasn't as malicious as I thought" and then he said "We both had a part in it and it’s not his fault". 100+ laps later he was on a mission to take him out. IMO it looked like a scene from Days Of Thunder. Even if Keselowski had it 'coming to him' Atlanta wasn't the place for that kind of move, not at those speeds. I'd bet that while some of the drivers applauded Edwards move, most lost some respect for him. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Edwards makes some sort of apology at Bristol's drivers meeting similar to what Ernie Irvan did back in 1991 @ Talladega.
