Sorry to hear that your event is rained out. Here its hazy hot & humid, with a chance of late afteroon thunder storms. Hoping the weather hold for next weekend for the NHRA race.

Is there going to be any broadcasting (web or cable) of the races for those of us south of the border?

The only race televised is the NASCAR Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment at Riverside International Speedway and it is delayed and I believe only on TSN in Canada

Mike, plan to crash with some friends on the weekend as the wife could not get away. But we did get tickets for one of the new reserved seats :-D

Fundytrail: how were the seats? They looked mighty comfy - LOL!

Great start to the season, good racing. Looking forward to the 250 in a few weeks. Wonder what the track has planned for the "trackside party" on thursday night.

I see that the track has a car registered with no driver, as I hear they have been working ona second "guest" driver.

Can't wait!

Marcos Ambrose to replace Regan Smith at the Riverside Speedway IWK 250.

The swap became necessary after Smith fractured his left wrist during a recent race.

Mike had a great weekend and did not get home until Monday afternoon :D

Did you know Art Steves (the flagman) has sold the "racer chaser" to Speedway 660. I was fortunate enough to get a ride at the track on the weekend.
Art built the racer chaser 16 years ago and Chris the original driver was at the wheel on the weekend.

Were you also aware Art started radiation treatment today, 39 treatments that are finished just prior to the September race in New Hampshire that he hopes to make :(

Art sure is a tough customer - he is definately a real racer - LOL! I see he was able to convince the track to provide his spot in the RV area with power, too!
Looks like this might have been our last 250 with a Nascar driver in attendance. Tentative 2011 Cup schedule on Jayski.com ( http://jayski.com/pages/2011cup_sched.htm ) has no OFF weekend in July now - it's in August. Nice to seee NH kept two dates after all the moaning and groaning - July and October rather than June and September. I'm interested in Kentucky, could get there in two days driving from NS, and they have infield camping...

Spoke to Art last weekend in Halifax and he said he was doing well, but the fact he is still in the starters stand after 10 treatments says a lot for him. :D

The second race at NHMS looks like Sept. 25th and not Oct.

Do you plan on making the 250 at Geary on the long weekend? I will not be at the |campgrounds" as our son and his family live in the arae.
