He was from the town I live in. He was a very good guy

I was at the track when the accident happened. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Parker family. I've seen Neal race at E-Town may times.

I also witnessed Scott Kalitta's accident at Englishtown. They need to modify "Pension Road" to extend the shut down area. The TF dragsters still ran over 324mph @ 1000' on Friday. The Pro-Stock cycles still have a tough time stopping. The track resumed racing about 6 hrs after Mr. Parker's accident. During the very first pass, one of the Pro-Stock bikes ran into the sand pit!

NHRA fans love the sights and sounds of drag cars running at record speeds. True fans hate the accidents!

I think that most of the cars now running have seriously outgrown the tracks they are running on. Hopefully some of the track owners will start making some much needed upgrades to make them safer for the folks running them
