Anyone got this gadget?
I just went and bought one, and am charging it up for its first initial use.
Hopefully it works good, as Nascar has already started to broadcast, I am under the impression that they broadcast 24 hours a day non-stop all about Nascar!!!
Talk about a fix!! 8)

SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, channel 128, the new 24/7 year-round radio channel dedicated to NASCAR, will launch January 1, featuring specialized programming that will be heard exclusively on SIRIUS. SIRIUS NASCAR Radio will provide the most comprehensive, in-depth radio coverage of NASCAR, with live coverage of NASCAR races and a lineup of exclusive talk shows hosted by two-time Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart, Charlotte Observer beat reporter and columnist David Poole, broadcasters Marty Snider, Matt Yocum and John Kernan, and other current and former drivers. On New Year's Day, SIRIUS becomes the Official Satellite Radio Partner of NASCAR, making SIRIUS the exclusive satellite radio home of every Nextel Cup Series, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series race, carrying the live broadcasts of Motor Racing Network (MRN), Performance Racing Network (PRN) and the IMS Radio Network's broadcast from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition to the live race broadcast, SIRIUS will take fans into the cars and pits by devoting up to 10 additional channels that will carry driver-to-crew communications during Nextel Cup Series races. SIRIUS will combine the race broadcast with the driver-to-crew chatter on these channels, allowing fans to hear the overall race call and the in-car audio of a driver on a single channel throughout the race. AND IT'S ALSO AVAILABLE IN CANADA :D

Well folks I just got my radio set-up, and the first station I tuned to was ....Well 128 of course :D
And guess who was on being interviewed?
Tony Stewart......
So, the first thing I heard him say, was in responce to a question, " Tony how do you like the car of tommorow?
" ....it sucks....was his reply...." " like driving an old station wagon...."

Hey Fundy, you get one of these things yet?
More updates, after playing with it last night some more, here is also a neat feature of the gadget.
Now mine is the portable Stilletto 100, which means you can walk around with it kind of like a Sony Walk-man, and wear the headphones, and here is a neat trick, the headphones also have a built-in antenna in the loop around your head!
So, I can walk around outside and tune in and listen.
I can also walk around in the house, more so upstairs than downstairs, and still get a signal, but it goes in and out.
The whole trick here is to remember you need to get a signal from the satellite, so if you are near a window, and I am going to assume a south facing one, this seems to work the best, then you are going to get a better signal.
Now, another cool feature with this unit, is that it will also pick up the signal through a Wi-Fi network
Dont expect me to explain or understand the technology working here, but I played around with it, and since I have a Wi-Fi network in my house, I thought, heck why not?
Since I have a secure Wi-Fi network, I had to go through entering all my 16 digit code, which took a few minutes, but once I did that it hooked up right away. And, the great thing is, that it remembered that code, so I dont have to go through all that again 8)
Now, the downside to the Wi-Fi thing, is that there is a known problem in the system and the tech-support at Sirius knows this, and they said that by Feb 14 2007 they expect this to be resolved.
The problem is that the Nascar channel does not work on Wi-Fi
But, when it gets fixed, it will give 2 distinct ways to access the network, which is really cool, because I had no idea about the wi-fi thing.
What this can do for you, is it will give you 2 distinctly different ways to access the network, which is super cool, just think of this for a minute.
You are lying on the couch in the basement, where there is no way you can get a signal, and you have Wi-Fi in the house, so you hook up to the Wi-Fi network, and voila!, you can tune in
As soon as the problem with the network gets figured out, which they say is only in a couple weeks time that is.... BUT, all the other channels do work on Wi-Fi, which is cool.
All in all, I am still working my way through all the features, and for a non-instruction reading guy like me, the unit is pretty easy to figure out on its own.
I can easily see now that they are broadcasting Nascar 24/7, that this will become a staple in the lives of us nascar nuts, later today I will report more on this, most likely this thread will become a part of our website also.
Whoops, got to go, Martha Stewart is now on...

Well I just got back from purchasing the Executive Home system for the Stiletto 100, and I can say that WOW  what a difference in reception quality :o
I dont even need to place the antenna near a window, it works on top of my dresser, which is 10 feet away from the window.
In reading the instructions, they say that there are some " terrestrial transmitters" that will help in getting the signal.
Well whatever it is, if you are thinking of listening to your stiletto 100 in the house, purchase one of these docking systems, the sound quality is good, set-up is easy, and it is what I was looking for right from the beginning.
Hands off to Sirius, now just let Canadians participate in all the fun
