:?: :?: I am a rookie at this RVing, but after I had my propane filled, it's not getting to any of my gas utilities. The valve is opened, but I don't know if I'm missing something else or if there is a blockage somewhere in the line. :? I have a Class C 26' Fleetwood Jamboree Searcher. Tank is located under right side, just behind passenger door. There is a small valve on tank that when I open it, it blows air (propane), is this something to do with my problem? Am I supposed to bleed this air out? Any help would be appreciated, as I live on a budget & don't want to take it in & be charged for something that might be very simple to correct. Thank you.

 Geez, how about reading the manual!! Duh, have to turn on the LP detector (Near the floor). If the power switch is OFF, gas flow from the tank is cut off by a special solenoid valve located at the tank. I am so embarrassed  !! Everything is working fine, but the operator :?
I'm still learning!
Now the other problem: I got about 2 foot tear in my awning last weekend from the wind. It's where the awning meets the hardware, upper end, right side. Do you recommend awning tape to fix this? Get it stitched up? Or buy a new awning?

I will also let you in on a few other " propane" items.
if the batteries run low, the detector will start to chirp also, dont be fooled by this....
There are a lot of systems to learn, heck I am on my 3rd coach and I am still learning :D
Nothing to be embarrased about, you should hear my stories

Thanks for that info. Lots of people have told me that doesnt work, but I am going to try it anyways (gonna try Gorilla tape, supposedly stronger than RV or duct tape). We'll see how that goes!

A guy we see at the local race tracks fixed his about 2 years ago with a piece of old awing material and stitched it up with dental floss using an awl. I saw the RV about two weeks ago and it’s still holding.
