Roush Racing confirms that the No. 6 Nextel Cup transporter was involved Wednesday in a multi-vehicle accident with injuries near Sierra Blanca, Texas.

The hauler was in route from Las Vegas, after two days of preseason testing concluded Tuesday, to Concord, N.C.

The accident occurred on Interstate 10, 85 miles east of El Paso, Texas, shortly after 9 a.m. local time, near the Border Patrol checkpoint.

According to Border Patrol officials at the checkpoint, the hauler struck a motor home, which then struck another 18-wheeler, that then struck a second tractor-trailer.

A witness at the scene, told ABC-7 TV in El Paso the tractor-trailer struck a motorhome in the rear. Bear added there were "a few other vehicles in the wreck, but everything was crushed together." :(

Anyone have additional details?

On sirius today they said that 4 people went to the hospital, 1 critical.

I surfed all over the net, but could not find out anything, its so way out in the middle of nowhere, I could not even find a paper or newstation.

Hopefully tommorow we will know more details.

Let hope everyone is okay

If you click on the video link the other truckers that where involved in the accident dont have so much kind words for the driver of the Mark Martin Hauler

Did you see what was left of the pick-up truck

But in the end as the news report said, it was a miracle no-one died :D

What I had no clue about, was that the speed limit was 80 m.p.h.

Man, no tire for any rig, 22.5 or 24.5 has a limit over 75, and if the limit is 80, that means people must be doing 90 :o

But at the end of the day, metal can be replaced, people cant.
