Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a particular brand/model/refraction of binoculars I should invest in to watch races from the stands. Thanks in advance for your help.

I use a pair of 10x50 full size designed for people who wear glasses and am pretty satisfied with them.
If I was 20 years younger I would go to a top notch sporting goods store, that has a good assortment on display and look for the best, clearest pair I could find in at least an 8 power with a wide viewing area. I have looked at these, and can only say that you get what you pay for, but the quality needed for the distances we view from to get the good detail at the track is worth every penny. I can see a lot of detail from the grandstands into the pits and the garage area at most tracks. It is difficult to pick out people and identify someone if you can't see them well, this is where good optics will pay off.
Spend what you are comfortable with, but expect quality to be expensive.

I stopped in a camera shop last night at my local mall and picked there brains for a bit, honestly I had no idea what the numbers 10 by 24, etc...meant.
Now, Bushnell has a model line one below it, that the manager thought would be perfect for watching, and it had something new to binoculars, it had a zoom feature.
10 by 24 times zoom, and then the other 50 number after that.
What it does is zoom in and out, and then the other stuff after that.
I will try to find more, you see that is what happens after 24 hours, sometimers sets in....
