SCAMMERS AND E-MAIL B.S.

Well it was bound to happen, but we have had some people come to this board and register bogus e-mail accounts and websites, all in an effort to do....well I do not really know, but to date I have deleted 2 of these people and modified 2 others. :evil:

If you are new to this board, dont post websites that sell drugs, or Viagra, or try to phish, scam, or whatever it is you are trying to do. :x

The members of this board can be assured that when this happens they are deleted right away, and if it is serious enough their e-mail and isp numbers are banned forever. :twisted:

Just a follow up also, if somebody gets a listing posted that is obscene, we have their IP address registered, so that way we also ban that, so that almost eliminates ever hearing from them again.

Actually it is better for us this way as then they cant re-register with that IP address again :twisted:

Another powerful element to this board is that we can ban e-mail address's also, so again it makes it harder for them to carry on their trade. 8)

Last night was the best yet, only 1 scammer the whole night :D

But, I have spent the last 48 hours intensely scouring our logs and eliminating them one by one as they appear.

That is the benefit of watching the race with a laptop hooked up to wi-fi :D

Had a 1 hour strategy meeting with Rose today, ( webmistress) whom even came in on a National Holiday! what a trooper :wink:

We played around with the board options, we might have figured something out that will keep the bots away for good :P
